About

Linda Jackson comes from a family lineage of women who were wonderful dressmakers. It has been passed down through generations. It is in her blood and in her genes. Linda started sewing and pattern making at the age of eight.

Upon leaving high school, Linda went straight into the fashion industry to complete a 3 year apprenticeship and then 3 years more at a TAFE Design College.

During her career Linda Jackson has worked alongside many high profile design companies in and beyond Sydney, Australia. Later on in Jackson’s career she then left to start her own interior design business with a focus on soft furnishings and the making of custom sofa and chair covers. In 1990, she started working for a Sydney based company named Charles Parson in their Interior design and textile division.

In 1996, Linda Jackson worked in the design department of a company based in London for the label Alexandra Mc Queen and other various fashion boutiques, particularly those associated with the famous Portobello Markets. During this time, she crafted and designed everything from lingerie to tailor made suits, evening wear and even bridal wear.

Two years later, Linda had progressed to working in New York, continuing her career among prominent fashion companies. She then started her business of making custom sofa and chair covers in New York.

Because the art of making custom sofa covers is the same as making a garment to cover the skin of a human body, the pattern making and measurements are all relative.  Linda previously also had a range of Australian made bed linens, printed on Australian cottons, with native leaves and berries.

Eventually, Linda returned to Sydney and has been pursuing her business of making and designing custom sofa and chair covers ever since.

Process for Custom Sofa Covers

A unique feature of our custom furniture cover service is that your sofas and chairs do not need to be removed from your home which eliminates any inconvenience to you or your family or business.

We call to your premises and take accurate measurements of your furniture or other items requiring covers.

These measurements are then converted to patterns and the fabric is cut and your covers are manufactured.

All our covers are made to measure, delivered and installed onto your items by us in your home or business premises.

The Making Process

All covers have piping, zippers, etc. Some designs may require skirts with corner pleats.

We will always offer the most appropriate solution to suit the design of your furniture in consultation with you.

Whatever design furniture you have, in any shape or size we will produce your custom covers fully fitted and looking fully upholstered- but removable!
